James McDonald Webb, affectionately known as "Joe," was born on October 17, 1969, in Newark, New Jersey, to the late Ruth Webb and William Collie. He departed this life on September 22, 2026.

James attended Newark Public Schools and later worked for the Newark Board of Education. He also held various jobs that allowed him to work with his hands.

He leaves to cherish his memory five children: three daughters, Lakeisha, Ebony, and Janiesha; two sons, James and Andrew; four grandchildren; and his son-in-law, Cassius Brownlee. He is also lovingly remembered by his four sisters, Von, Sherita, Jane, and Tian; three brothers, Ronald, Anthony, and Clearthur; one sister-in-law, Mildred Dixon; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

James will be laid to rest with his beloved mother, Ruth Webb, and father, William Collie. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

If there were an angel on earth, you would be the best. We love you, but God loves you best.
